Name: T2G-HDB2-C32 (C32 for short, known locally as Dost)
Age: 427
Race: Mining titan (YMIR pattern)
Zone of Birth: All-Gobi Desert (pre-desertification)
Class: YMIR Mining Titan
Current Employment Alignment: Rebel
Description: An original YMIR pattern mining titan. Its chassis is painted with traditional hazard-warning colours and is outfitted with a standard issue rock drill and bucket wheel.
It is also outfitted with a non-standard sensor array that is yet to be fully deciphered by modern scientists.
Personality: C32 is a rare instance of a YMIR titan that has retained the majority of its sensibilities. Much like modern mining titans, it has a great deal of dedication and respect for its work. However, unlike those shiny new toys, it also shows an unusual capacity for socialisation and has occasionally hinted at something parallel to a sense of humour.
Abilities: As a purpose-built mining machine, C32 is extremely adept at making objects and structures of a mineral nature stop existing. It also sports a surprisingly accurate throwing arm, despite having no hands with which to hold a projectile.
While these features are common in all modern mining titans, this one also features a sensor suite that allows it to detect vibrations in the ground and form them into a digital map of its surroundings, effectively allowing it to 'see' movement in total darkness.
Relationships:
Anye Uquna - A street elf that C32 believes is its owner. She runs a protection racket where businesses must pay insurance to stop her from destroying their stores. She accepts creds, but values useful information much more. She has nicknamed it Dost, which apparently used to mean "friend" to some people.
Important Life Moments:
Dost (originally designated "T2G-HDB2-C32") was built to help dig a secret tunnel under the mountains north of India to aid in the great relocation.
In the final stages of this process, a number of seismic events were detected in the area that meant the tunnel had to be evacuated. Not all of the equipment could be moved, so C32 was left in the tunnel with the order to "kill anybody who isn't authorised to be here."
As suspected, the tunnel caved in under the southernmost lake of Saraswati Virtue, filling with debris and whisking C32 away into the land that would eventually become Saraswati Virtue.
Fast forward a few centuries to the lowest layers of the zone's sole megacity, Mahabharata, where a group of gangers were digging through the earth towards the source of a strange signal. This signal turned out to be coming from C32's sensor suite, which allowed it to patiently watch the group's approach, before bursting through the wall and promptly splattering most of the intruders against the walls. In the ruckus, one of the gangers slipped away and sprinted back to their boss, Anye Uquna, who called in some favours and managed to get ahold of some high-level tech that allowed her to insert herself into its memory as the new "site forewoman."
Since then C32 has been working as an enforcer of sorts; stomping around the lower levels of Mahabharata and demolishing businesses that don't keep up with protection payments.
