The world is going to end any day now, and people need to know! With so much of the world a wasteland and the ruins of the Old World everywhere, it's easy to understand why some folks would believe another collapse is imminent. A fairly sizable niche exists for people who want to be ready for such a collapse and have enough disposable income to stock up just in case. Survivalist sponsors cater to doomsday seekers of various levels of sincerity, from the casual food hoarder to the lifestyle prepper who socks every spare buck into emergency supplies. Streamers for such sponsors tend to cultivate a grizzled and "folksy" appearance, the better to convince others that they themselves are prepared for the worst.
Expanded Tech List
The Survivalist lets you choose from an expanded list of techs when you learn a streamer tech. The following techs are added to the streamer tech list for you.
Expanded Techs
Tech
Level Techs
1st Pain Killers, Ray of Sickness
2nd Flash/Sonic Grenade, Silence
3rd Cataleptic State, Scan Memory Fragments
4th Aura of Life, SAPI Plate
5th Contagion, Dark Web Aggregator
Not Dead Yet
Starting at 1st level, you learn the stabilize trick, which counts as a streamer trick for you. You also have advantage on saving throws against any disease.
Additionally, hacked have difficulty harming you. If a hacked targets you directly with an attack or a harmful tech, that creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your tech save DC (a hacked needn't make the save when it includes you in an area effect, such as the explosion of incendiary grenade). On a failed save, the creature must choose a new target or forfeit targeting someone instead of you, potentially wasting the attack or tech. On a successful save, the creature is immune to this effect for 24 hours. A hacked is also immune to this effect for 24 hours if you target it with an attack or a harmful tech.
Defy Death
Starting at 6th level, you can give yourself vitality when you cheat death or when you help someone else cheat it. You can regain hit points equal to 1d8 + your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1 hit point) when you succeed on a death saving throw or when you stabilize a creature with stabilize.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Survivor Mods
Beginning at 10th level, you can hold your breath indefinitely, and you don't require food, water, or sleep, although you still require rest to reduce exhaustion and still benefit from finishing short and long rests.
In addition, you age at a slower rate. For every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year, and you are immune to being aged by techs or similar effects.
Indestructible Life
When you reach 14th level, your modifications make you very hard to kill indeed. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d8 + your streamer level. Additionally, if you put a severed body part of yours back in place when you use this feature, the part reattaches.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
