Surveillance is an omnipresent fact of life in the mega-cities (at least in the nicer parts of them). It's basically impossible to move around in public without being observed, and the vast majority of the populace engages in self-surveillance through the ubiquity of social media. Unfortunately, this means that the people doing the surveillance are utterly inundated with inane bullshit, boring nonsense, and tedium, with a side helping of mostly non-arousing amateur pornography. Techwizards specializing in surveillance based observation techs excel at separating the useful stuff from the useless shit, and synthesizing information into accurate forecasts of future events.
Observation Expert
Beginning when you select this specialty at 2nd level, the cash and time you must spend to copy a Observation tech into your cyberdeck is halved.
Predictive Algorithm
Starting at 2nd level when you choose this specialty, your peripherals are constantly running predictions for possible outcomes. When you finish a long rest, roll two d20s and record the numbers rolled. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with one of these predictive rolls. You must choose to do so before the roll, and you can replace a roll in this way only once per turn.
Each predictive roll can be used only once. When you finish a long rest, you lose any unused predictive rolls.
Expert Observation
Beginning at 6th level, casting Observation techs comes so easily to you that it expends only a fraction of your efforts. When you cast a Observation tech of 2nd level or higher using a tech slot, you regain one expended tech slot. The slot you regain must be of a level lower than the tech you cast and can't be higher than 5th level.
Sensorium
Starting at 10th level, you can use your action to increase your powers of perception. When you do so, choose one of the following benefits, which lasts until you are incapacitated or you take a short or long rest. You can't use the feature again until you finish a short or long rest.
- Darkvision. You gain darkvision out to a range of 60 feet.
- Phasic Vision. You can see phased creatures and objects within 60 feet of you.
- Universal Translator. You can read any language.
- Full-Spectrum Vision. You can see invisible creatures and objects within 10 feet of you that are within line of sight.
Well-Tuned Algorithm
Starting at 14th level, your predictive algorithms become significantly more accurate. You roll three d20s for your Predictive Algorithm feature, rather than two.
