Marketing Campaigner

"You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll shit your pants!"

Modern mass-market entertainment is a spectacle that has to be seen - and heard, smelled, tasted, and felt - to be believed. From fully-realistic holograms to virtual reality sense-tanks, technology is constantly straining at its limits to provide an experience as immersive and engaging as possible. Marketing campaigners are techwizards who focus on creating such entertainments, using everything from hardlight projectors to direct neural stimulation so they can forge illusions that are just as affecting as reality itself.

Deception Expert

Beginning when you select this specialty at 2nd level, the cash and time you must spend to copy an Deception tech into your cyberdeck is halved.

Hardlight Sensorium

When you choose this specialty at 2nd level, you learn the hardlight chicanery trick. If you already know this trick, you learn a different techwizard trick of your choice. The trick doesn't count against your number of tricks known.

When you cast hardlight chicanery, you can create both a sound and an image with a single casting of the tech.

Malleable Holograms

Starting at 6th level, when you cast an Deception tech that has a duration of 1 minute or longer, you can use your action to change the nature of the projection (using the tech's normal parameters for the projection), provided that you can see the projection.

Hologram Duplicate

Beginning at 10th level, you can create an illusory duplicate of yourself as an instant, almost instinctual reaction to danger. When a creature makes an attack roll against you, you can use your reaction to interpose the hologram duplicate between the attacker and yourself. The attack automatically misses you, then the illusion dissipates.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Virtual Reality

By 14th level, you have learned how to use hardlight projections and force fields to give your illusory projects a semblance of reality. When you cast an Deception tech of 1st level or higher, you can choose one inanimate mundane object that is part of the illusion and make that object real. You can do this on your turn as a bonus action while the tech is ongoing. The object remains real for 1 minute. For example, you can create a hologram of a bridge over a chasm and then make it real long enough for your allies to cross.

The object can't deal damage or otherwise directly harm anyone.
